July 2026 Tour & Explore at the Refuge!

  • Piedmont Farm Animal Refuge 7432 North Carolina 87 Pittsboro, NC, 27312 United States (map)

Join Us For A Special Summertime Tour!

For our July Tour and Explore, we are welcoming Oh My Cod Vegan Seafood from out of state! As an all-vegan seafood vendor, they serve a delicious and unique menu all throughout the East Coast. We’re thrilled to be hosting them, and their focus on plant-based seafood has inspired us to shine a spotlight on individuals who are too often ignored: underwater animals! We’ll have a station dedicated to the incredible fish, mammals, invertebrates, and reptiles who live in our oceans and seas, and we’ll be inviting guests to learn eye-opening facts about these animals and the ways they’re affected by aquaculture and the fishing industry.

This is all in addition to our usual self-guided tour, where you can meet rescued goats, sheep, ducks, geese, chickens, turkeys, and cows. On your tour, our knowledgeable Tour Guides will be stationed throughout the Refuge to tell enchanting stories of animal rescues, introducing you to each animal by name. Don’t miss our serene curved brick animal memorial, unique architectural designs, and our beautiful Pavilion where you can find Refuge merchandise for purchase and learn more about our mission.

Rounding it out is the return of Dee’s Kitchen, a Refuge-Favorite that will be bringing the perfect sweet treats to compliment Oh My Cod’s classic seaside favorites!

Reserve your tickets for this exciting celebration today!

  • Our tours take place on gravel roads, grassy pastures, and uneven terrain, which may not be fully wheelchair accessible. However, we offer a golf cart with a driver that can transport up to three guests to all areas of interest during tours. We also have an ADA-compliant porta potty in the parking lot.

If you have any accessibility needs, please email us at info@piedmontrefuge.org to make arrangements before your visit. For additional questions, feel free to email or call us at 919-533-4013.
