Phase 2: Building a Forever Home

Over the past 14 years, Piedmont Farm Animal Refuge has operated with passion, integrity, and a deep commitment to providing exceptional lifelong care to rescued farmed animals.

Now, with your help, we are continuing that mission through Phase 2 of The Pig Project. Building on the success of Phase 1, we are expanding our existing sanctuary so that rescued pigs can find a true forever home, far from the cruelty of the farming industries.

Thanks to generous supporters as well as donors who gave through our crowd-funding campaign, so far we have raised $66,000 toward a larger $300,000 goal to build essential homes, medical spaces, and care facilities. 

With your help, we can give these intelligent, sensitive animals the life they have always deserved. And we have some exciting perks for those who donate at the $1,000 level and higher!

DONATION PERKS:

Name on Pig Plaque - $1,000

For a $1,000 donation, you can choose a name or short phrase to be engraved on one of our large pig-shaped metal plaques. These plaques will be prominently displayed along our tour route, giving you a lasting way to celebrate your support and connection to the Refuge.

Private Tour & Vegan Dinner for 5 - $5,000

For a donation of $5,000, you and up to 4 additional guests will join Refuge founder Lenore Braford and architect Paul Drake for a Private Tour of the future pig habitat. This exclusive experience includes a behind-the-scenes look at the designs for the pig houses and an in depth discussion of the vision behind the project. You will also enjoy a vegan dinner with Lenore and Paul at the Refuge Pavilion, overlooking the sanctuary, creating a unique opportunity to connect with the animals and the people making this work possible.

Name A Piggy Building - $10,000

For a generous donation of $10,000, you can name one of the buildings that will be an essential part of the pig habitat. Opportunities include any of the four pig houses, the pig clinic, the pig quarantine building, or the central pig feeding area. Your chosen building will also feature a prominently displayed plaque, creating a lasting tribute to your support and connection to the Refuge.
