Registration for LEAP Summer Camp is now OPEN!

We are thrilled to now be accepting applications for our first-ever LEAP (Leaders for Ethics, Animals, and the Planet) program! A compassionate alternative to 4-H, this FREE Summer Camp for incoming 9th-12th graders offers community building, leadership training, hands-on learning, and quality time getting to know our animal residents. Participants will also learn all about the Refuge’s pioneering approach to designing and building animal habitats, which we call Animal-Centered Design.

Campers will participate in animal care in a sanctuary context, practice climate-friendly cooking with a vegan chef, develop leadership skills, and engage in therapeutic art practices, as well as build community with our staff, volunteers, the animal residents, and each other.

Camp Dates: Monday through Friday, July 20-24

Time: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM daily

Cost: FREE - includes daily vegan snacks & lunches

Click the button below to apply on LEAP’s website. Applications close Friday, May 29, and accepted participants will be notified in early June.
