Immigrant Comfort Food from Eastern Europe to New York City

We are so excited to welcome the one and only Isa Moskowitz to the Refuge on May 2!

A vegan cookbook author and the creator of the Post Punk Kitchen, Moskowitz is the author of Veganomicon, Isa Does It, Vegan Cupcakes Take Over the World, and several other cookbooks that helped shape the way people cook vegan at home.

The event will include a demo of vegan “beef” stew with horseradish cream, as well as a meal featuring other Eastern European and deli favorites from Isa’s cookbooks. After the demo and meal, attendees can spend time with our herd of eight Refuge cows and meet Isa during a book signing!
