Lewis

Before we rescued him, Lewis was living in a neighborhood in Angier, NC without a home. While the people in the neighborhood had come to love and admire him, they also realized that he needed a safe place with proper food, protection, and medical care. That's when a concerned neighbor reached out to The Refuge and brought Lewis to our sanctuary. Upon arrival, we could see he had been suffering from a severe eye infection that was causing him pain and lesions. We started him on medication right away and began to see big improvements! Now, he’s settled in nicely with his other duck and goose friends, and he loves relaxing in the pond.
