April

April came to us after being found on the side of the road after falling off of a transport truck likely headed to the slaughterhouse. Because they are sent to slaughter as babies, most Cornish chickens only live to be 1-2 months in age. April, however, is at least 2 years old, indicating that she was likely being used in a breeding facility. Now, she is living in a home where she can enjoy sunshine and fresh fruits and vegetables for the first time in her life!
