Join us from June 15-19 for an amazing week of caring for animals, cooking (and eating!) yummy vegan food, and enjoying time with human and nonhuman friends.
Camp Compassion takes place at Piedmont Farm Animal Refuge, a non-profit sanctuary for rescued farm animals located in Pittsboro, NC. Designed for children ages 7–12, this unique camp offers the opportunity to connect with and care for our incredible animal residents.
Campers will dive into hands-on animal care, including preparing nutritious meals and crafting daily animal enrichment activities. They’ll also enjoy a variety of creative and interactive experiences including arts and crafts, active games, improv theater, and more! Every day, campers will enjoy delicious vegan snacks and cook their own plant-based lunches alongside a talented Vegan Chef.
The heart of Camp Compassion is building meaningful connections with the amazing animals at the Refuge, including goats, sheep, chickens, turkeys, ducks, geese, cows, and one delightful guinea fowl named Frizzle! Each animal has a name, a unique personality, and a special story. We hope campers leave with a deeper understanding, respect, and love for animals of all kinds.
Camp Dates: Monday through Friday, June 15-19
Time: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM daily
Cost: $350 per child - includes daily snacks & lunches
Join us for a memorable week of compassion, learning, and fun!
