Juniper
Juniper was rescued from living outside on her own, at risk from the elements, predation, and starvation. She was found living in some juniper bushes in a parking lot of a pharmaceutical company in Durham NC. Employees were feeding her oatmeal packets out of the vending machine and had tried to catch her with no success. When one of them reached out to the Refuge for help, we headed out there at dusk and found her roosting in one of the bushes. We are so happy that we were able to successfully rescue her and bring her home to the Refuge where she is now one of our most sociable residents and often enjoys being cuddled by caregivers and visitors.
